(for clarification none of us actually read up on the fights, instead we elected to run 3 10man groups for the first night to work out our own strats, was great fun especially on the gunship battle =D)

I haven’t used Quartz since i was playing my hunter – i really don’t feel like i need it, when it’s only a small component of it that i want. Spartan UI has a niffy little cast bar in it anyways, and that is well enough for me, so i just need some sort of tracking for Eclipse.

I think most casters use Quartz for cast bars nowadays, so most are familiar with the setup of it – but with the Eclipse plugin, you can keep track of your active eclipse, and the cooldown where relevant where you’re unsure what to proc next…

I’ll sort a screenshot of it in action tonight if anyone is interested – but I’ve heard a lot of moonkins being ‘lost’ without S&A, so would highly recommend Quartz Eclipse as an alternative.

A little bit of amusement — there are mobs in the Forge that spell reflect. I two-shot myself on the first pull and proceeded to do the same the next time we pulled that kind of mob. The third time? I put my DoTs on both and meleed.

I was happy with my DPS, pulled 7400 on Saurfang (and I was switching to adds – they are ‘AoE Proof’ it seems) and this was missing a demo warlock or elemental shaman. I could probably squeeze out more too as several times I made the mistake of pre-casting a wrath after Lunar, just expecting WE to carry me into Solar. Once I get the hang of keeping up SF until an actual proc, I’m sure that will squeeze out a little more.

New 5mans are quite an epic experience first time round, following the quest and the story through all three back to back was fun.

New LFG is awesome, one of the best features ever implemented – but then I only play 5mans as a tank, so I guess I’m quite spoilt with fast queue times and smooth runs :p

Accelsía: To be honest, i haven’t looked too much into it. It will be a while before i get my hands on enough emblems (relatively speaking) and there are other things i want to buy first (idol, for starters). Still, we hardly know half of what drops in there, so i am taking it slow planning my gear

Dendron: I would never post that, as i am generally against such lists. It is unlikely that people will get to have that unique gear setup at any point in the game, which means the balance might be interrupted. As long as you meet your caps, and then increase your stats accordingly, i’d rather go with a “Better in slot” list. Other gear sets might work out just as well, but may be slightly below the super-duper-best in slot gear.

Quieth, I’d like to ask for your personal opinion on The current rotation for Boomkins… I’ve come to almost never see my Solar Eclipse proc in the fight

just a quick question, what’s your take on what pieces of tier to take in relation to other non-set items? i’ve been thinking everything except gloves because the 264 badge gloves are pure win…
